Spring is here!

Yesterday I created two mock centerpieces, a Tall Arrangement featuring Manzanita Branches and a Low arrangement to complement it for an April Bride. She wanted lots of Vibrant colors with a fresh spring look. Viburnum, Sweet Peas, Roses and Hydrangea were featured.

Pretty in Pink!

Blush created a deep pink wedding at the RiverView in Simsbury this past weekend. The weather was perfect and the Deep Pink and Navy color scheme was the perfect punch of color for the first day of Spring! A mix of Deep Pink Hydrangea, Garden Roses, Anemones, Ranunculus and stock filled the reception room!

Fruit and Flowers!

I love combining fruits (and veggies) with flowers, it adds new dimension to floral arrangements by bringing in an interesting texture and shape and is an unexpected fresh addition! Here are some pictures from all different seasons...

One of my all time favorite arrangements... Peonies, Garden Roses, Ranunculus with a few branched oranges tucked in
Here was the centerpieces to match... (little apricots were used for a soft texture)

Blush Featured on Style Me Pretty today!

We were lucky enough to be featured on Style Me Pretty today on a wedding we designed this past September for one of my talented designers, Lauran, and her fiance Carlos which took place at her parent's home. Lauran had so many creative and beautiful ideas and I'm so glad we were able to be part of her beautiful day!

Thanks to Abby and everyone at Style Me Pretty for featuring our work!

Preview of May 2010 wedding

This past weekend I met with one of my May clients to discuss the floral decor at her upcoming Hartford Club wedding and showed her a mock tablescape put together by myself and event coordinator Candice Dowling Coppola of Jubilee Events . Garden Roses, Sweet Peas, Roses, Parrot Tulips, Muscari and Delphinium are arranged in Spode China dishware propped up on Mercury Glass pedestals. Can't wait for May to come to see this wedding day come together!!
