Green and White centerpieces

This past weekend I designed mock centerpieces for clients whose upcoming May nuptials are taking place at the beautiful Winvian resort in Litchfield county. It will be a green and white affair with charcoal grey accents featuring seasonal blooms in a natural style. The wedding will take place in a rustic barn on the property. I can not wait to see this wedding day come together, it's going to be gorgeous!

Everlasting Parrot Tulip!

The first weekend of April Blush did an event in Hartford and I used a few Parrot Tulips in one of the large arrangements. A few days after the event I went to pick up my urns and pedestals and the arrangement was still there so I picked out the gorgeous Parrot Tulips to try to revive them. They are still living in my sunroom and are the most amazing Tulips I have ever seen, there color has turned from green to purple and now is taking on a shade of Maroon and their petals are just gorgeous! love the spring flowers!!

Flavors of Connecticut Dinner

Tonight was the American Liver Foundations' annual Flavors of Connecticut Dinner Event. I was asked by Union League Cafe to help decorate their guests' dinner table. We went with a green and white color scheme using lots of Spring blooms and interesting textural components. Amaryllis, Peonies, Sweet Peas and Stephanotis vine were the white elements, while assorted Ferns, Mint Leaves, Bluperum, Artichokes, Asparagus and Fern Curls added some nice textures...

Old State House Wedding

Yesterday Studio Blush designed our first wedding of the 2011 season! Dusty purple, pale pink and Ivory lush Spring Flowers were the theme of this wedding. Parrot Tulips, Cherry Blossoms, and Lilacs made it feel like Spring was finally really here. This gorgeous event took place at The Old State House in Hartford, was coordinated by the talented team at Jubilee Events and catered by A Thyme To Cook. The talented Robert Norman was taking photos but I couldn't wait to post this wedding so I snapped a few of my own, the professional ones will be debuted as soon as I get them, but in the meantime here are a few of my pics from the event...

Green and White

This week I was asked to create an arrangement for a local garden club event. I was given a earthy looking basket made out of curly willow, I lined it with moss and filled it with all green and white foliage and blooms: Brake Fern, Argonis, Kale, Snapdragons and a few Anemones. Looks like something straight out of the forest!

White and Black Photoshoot

Today I made a bouquet and boutonniere for a photoshoot with Mike and Marcie Maler of Michael Maler Photography that is taking place tomorrow at a Haunted Opera House in Connecticut. The White and Black themed shoot will feature the 'bride' wearing a fabulous wedding dress with black caged veil. White Ranunculus, Anemone and Parrot Tulips are surrounded by feathery Agonis and Ferns with Black feather accents. Fun way to end the week!
