I designed pink and green Spring floral arrangements in silver mercury glass to be scattered around their event.

I have been excited to design this wedding since last year when the bride showed me her collection of Rose Colored Depression glass that she wanted me to fill with flowers for her wedding centerpieces! This gorgeous wedding was held at the Tomes Higgins House in Greenwich. The wedding was coordinated and styled by the talented Candice and her fabulous crew at Jubilee Events. The color scheme of the wedding was a soft pale antique pink. Along with the bride's beautiful collection of rose colored glassware we added in some black urns and silver mercury glass to counter all the pink in the reception. Because rainclouds were in and out all day the ceremony took place under a Sperry Tent on the front lawn of the Mansion. Ethereal altar arrangements featured lush filled urns with Curly Willow Branches reaching up to form an arch. Chairbacks were decorated with pink and ivory Dupioni and Satin ribbons with scattered Gardenias (which may be one of my favorite details of this wedding!). Gardenias, one of the brides' favorite flowers, were scattered throughout the entire wedding. It was one of those weddings where you walk around and sigh at all the prettiness!
(I will be posting the professional pictures taken by talented Katie Slater as soon as I get them--the bride had a gorgeous pale pink after-party gown that I can't wait to share once I get the photos!!)

This coming September I will be designing my good friends Liz and Jordan's wedding. Today I made a mock centerpiece for her to see before they move to California. Her early September wedding is going to feature romantic flowers in shades of hot pink and orange. I just love the texture and color of the Geranium leaf against the hot pinks... Orange Ranunculus and Dahlias and drippy green berries will complete the look for her actual wedding...I can't wait for their beautiful day!

This past weekend we designed a green and white wedding held at the gorgeous Winvian in Litchfield County. Spring flowers were featured: Peonies, Ranunculus, Sweet Peas, with accents of Artichokes, Kiwi Vine, Fern Curls and other seasonal blooms and foliage. The rain clouds were overhead all day so the ceremony was moved under a tent. The reception was held in the restored barn on the property. I can't wait to get the 'real' pics from the photographer, the lighting was a little tough in this location, so bear with me on these photos...

Yesterday the studio designed a wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club that was the epitome of pretty. Pale Pinks, Ivories and Peach flowers were arranged on top of the brides' cut glass cake stand collection. Peonies, Garden Roses, Andromeda and other Spring flowers were used to create a romantic feel. The pink cake display table was so much fun--wish I could have tasted a few!! Can't wait to share the professional pics when they are ready, but in the meantime here's a few of my own shots...
