A look back at Details

This past season there were so many beautiful details that made each wedding their own unique event. From entrance arrangements to decorating the cake with coordinating flowers, the little details are what pull it all together!

Bridal Shower

Bridal Showers are such a great time to decorate with all things girly and pretty. Below are pictures from my own bridal shower which took place at the Guilford Art Center this past summer. My amazingly creative mom and good friend Lauran, who both are designers at Blush studio, transformed the blank space and put together the most amazing day for me. They ordered their own 'top secret' box of flowers from my wholesaler and used leftover blooms from the wedding we setup the day prior. Mismatched Antique china place settings adorned each table, bright colored paper lanterns hung from the ceiling, an old garden cart was used to collect gifts, and almost all the delicious and beautiful food was homemade by my mom and friends.
It was the most amazing garden party!

Cocktails were provided and concocted by Mike at RIPE, these Mimosas had a splash of Elderflower liquor and were delicious!

These delicious and gorgeous lavender truffles were made by my favorite candy store on the Cape, Chatham Candy Manor.

And to make this day even more dreamy, Lauran made the most delicious Strawberry soup, the ultimate tea party food!!

Lauran's lavender cupcakes!

My mom's delicious mini muffins and scones:

A look back: This season's favorite centerpieces...

This past season Blush studio created lots of different styled wedding centerpieces. From lush and mounded to free form garden style to tall elegant arrangements.
Here are a few of my favorites from this past season...

And, I couldn't help but put my own Rehearsal Dinner Watermelon Zinnia centerpieces in too!! The watermelon was hollowed out (with all the watermelon being used to infuse vodka for a refreshingly dangerous drink) and the rinds were filled with local Zinnias from Barberry Hill Farm in Madison and Hosta leaf from my garden.

Lake of Isles Wedding

We just received the pictures from Bryce Vickmark of a wedding we designed last April at Lake of Isles Country Club. They couldn't have come at a better time--I am in dire need of some bright colors in this dreary weather! The event was coordinated and styled by Erica and the staff of Ambiance. Orchids, Peonies, Viburnum and Garden Roses were featured in vibrant shades of Pink, Lime Green and Oranges with accents of Champagne.
